Privacy Policy

Dental Executive Coaching(“we,” “us,” or “our”) runs this website and the Chairside to CEO newsletter. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We try to collect only what the site needs to work and improve.

Information we collect

  • Newsletter signups. When you subscribe, we collect your email address and signup context such as the page, source, and campaign tags that brought you there. We also keep the confirmation and subscription status needed to send or stop the newsletter.
  • Contact messages. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, message, the page it came from, and limited browser information used to diagnose delivery problems. Form security may process your IP address temporarily for rate-limiting and bot checks; we do not add it to the saved contact-message record.
  • Article feedback.If you rate an article, we store a random browser ID, the article, your vote, an optional note, the referring website’s domain, and any campaign tags in the page URL. We do not attach an account, email address, IP address, or full referring URL to that feedback.
  • Share-button use.When you use an article’s share or copy button, we record the article, the chosen sharing method, and the time. We do not receive the recipient or the message you send.
  • Performance and usage data. Our host and analytics providers may receive page, device, browser, operating-system, approximate location, network, performance, and interaction information. The tools currently used are described below.

How we use it

  • To send you the newsletter you asked for, and to confirm your subscription.
  • To reply to your questions and messages.
  • To understand whether an article helped and what readers want clarified.
  • To secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the site.

Service providers

We don’t sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate the site, under their own terms:

  • Supabase— database hosting for subscriptions, messages, article feedback, and share events.
  • Resend— delivery of the newsletter and confirmation emails.
  • Vercel— website hosting, request logs, and Speed Insights. Speed Insights reports page-performance data without tying it to an identified visitor.
  • Google Analytics— website traffic and interaction measurement, including page views, article reading, referral sources, and successful newsletter or contact actions. We do not send form contents, email addresses, or names to Analytics. We may also use Google Signals for aggregate, cross-device behavioral reporting as described below; not for advertising, remarketing, or customer-list matching.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile— bot and abuse checks when it is enabled for a form.

Cookies, local storage, and analytics

Optional measurement uses cookies or similar browser storage for page views and interaction signals. It does not receive form messages, names, email addresses, or health information. Please do not put patient information or other sensitive data into our forms.

Article feedback uses local storage to remember a random browser ID and the vote already made on that device. Clearing site data in your browser removes that local copy; voting again may then create a new ID.

Google Analytics is optional. It loads only after you choose “Allow measurement” in the privacy controls, and it remains off when you choose “Keep it off” or make no choice. You can change that choice at any time with the Privacy choices control.

We may enable Google Signalsfor aggregate behavioral reporting. For a visitor who allows measurement, Google may associate our Analytics event data and its cookies or similar identifiers with information from that visitor’s signed-in Google account when the visitor has also enabled Ads Personalization in Google. This can support aggregate cross-device, demographic, and interest reports. Google does not expose an individual person to us through those reports, and Google may withhold small groups under its privacy thresholds. Our site still sends ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization as denied. We do not use Signals for remarketing, audiences, ad campaigns, customer uploads, User-ID, or user-provided data collection.

You can stop new DEC measurement on this site at any time with the Privacy choices control. You can separately review or turn off Google’s signed-in Ads Personalization in My Ad Center, and Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. These Google controls are separate from our site control.

Meta Pixel is optional and loads only after you choose “Allow measurement”. TikTok Pixel is not currently enabled.

Data retention

We keep newsletter data for as long as you’re subscribed, and contact messages for as long as we reasonably need them to reply and keep an operating record. Article feedback and share events are kept while they remain useful for improving the content. Our providers may keep logs or analytics for the periods stated in their own policies. Google says signed-in Signals data normally expires after 26 months, or sooner when the Analytics property uses a shorter retention setting. Google’s privacy thresholds may keep demographic or interest reports unavailable even while aggregate measurement is active.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe anytime using the link in any newsletter email, or by emailing us.
  • Choose or withdraw optional measurement using the Privacy choices control; clearing site cookies also removes the saved choice. Article feedback still uses its own local browser ID and does not send form content or direct identifiers to measurement providers.
  • Ask to access, correct, or delete information connected to you by emailing ray@dentalexecutivecoaching.com. We will respond subject to any legal or operational record we are required to keep.

Children

This site is intended for practice owners and other adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Security

We use service providers and access controls intended to protect the information we hold. No website or online transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send patient records, passwords, payment information, or other sensitive data through this site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above.
